Overview

The Remote Inspection Support Specialist administers remote progress inspections utilizing video call technology, creates detailed progress inspection reports based on the virtual walkthrough of a construction site, and ensures the quality and completeness of these remote inspection reports.

This role will also perform quality control for onsite progress inspection reports delivered by independent inspection companies that provide a non-biased, independent observation of the work completed at a construction site.

Responsibilities

  • Administers remote inspections utilizing video call technology, guiding point-of-contact individuals through the inspection process and ensuring comprehensive visual documentation is captured.
  • Creates detailed and accurate inspection reports based on the observations and documentation gathered during remote inspections.
  • Performs quality control on the remote inspections they administer, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and adherence to established standards before report submission.
  • Performs quality control on inspection reports submitted by inspection companies, to verify accuracy and quality by confirming that all report requirements are met.
  • Ensures that all reports meet SLA and targets on quality standards.
  • Meets productivity targets.
  • Provides timely communication with stakeholders regarding the status and quality of all inspection reports, including those generated remotely.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement.
  • Stays up-to-date on changes to industry standards, company policies, and lender guidelines related to all inspection types, including remote inspections.
  • May assist with other functions in the department as needed.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with quality control principles and practices.
  • Excellent understanding of construction stages, trades, and terminology, and the ability to assess these based on various forms of documentation and through direct virtual observation, and to articulate these observations clearly and accurately in written reports.
  • Software experience, including proficiency in reviewing digital documents, video, and images, familiarity with video conferencing platforms, and strong skills in generating clear, concise, and high-quality written reports.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in both reviewed reports and self-generated remote inspection reports.
  • Has customer service experience with business clients, including the ability to professionally guide individuals through a remote inspection process and communicate effectively both verbally and in written reports.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with construction lending is a plus.

Compensation: range is $22-28/hour, Full-time.

The actual pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, and geographical location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.

Candidates must reside in one of the following states: CA, WA, AZ, ID, VA, TX, FL, NC, TN, and MD. We can not consider or hire anyone who resides outside of these states.
