Solution Engineer

JOB TITLE: Solution Engineer
REPORTS TO: Sales Manager

Land Gorilla is hiring a Solution Engineer to partner with Account Executives to supplement their demonstrations with technical knowledge of Land Gorilla’s cloud-based software platform, Construction Loan Manager (CLM). You will be the expert voice and resource to support our Account Executives throughout the sales process. This includes participating in technical demonstrations, answering RFPs, and positioning CLM as the premier construction loan management software solution to prospects.

The Solution Engineer will work in a fast-paced and highly competitive sales organization. This position is headquartered in San Luis Obispo, but can be based out of any US location.

We’re looking for tech industry veterans looking for a new challenge who have:
  • Proven performance in a pre-sales support role selling a SaaS solution through demonstrations, drafting RFP responses, and on-boarding sales executives
  • Understanding of complex web and mobile applications utilized for documentation management, project management, or similar
  • Understanding of enterprise technology environments including storage, database, data warehousing, data integration, data analytics, and security
  • Knowledge of APIs and their role in custom integrations
  • Experience selling enterprise level SaaS solutions preferred, but not required
  • Own pre-sales technical support of prospects and partners from initial contact through product demonstration and close
  • Work with sales team to close new business by addressing prospects’ technical challenges
  • Enable new Account Executives for success and transform them into product experts through training and support
  • Complete immersion and mastery of Land Gorilla’s product offerings, business model, services, and emerging technologies
  • Communicate with fellow team members (mentoring and asking questions) via instant messaging, email, phone, and face-to-face meetings
  • Collaborate with all levels of the Land Gorilla organization to develop best practices, identify opportunities for improvement and enable the long term success of
  • Account Executives and Land Gorilla clients
  • Exceptional competency in performing software demos
  • Ability to utilize additional client-facing tools (e.g., slide decks, spreadsheets, etc.) to properly identify needs and explain the benefits of the software platform
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to present to C-Suite / Executives
  • Ability to work with Land Gorilla’s product team to arrive at potential solutions
  • Ability to answer RFPs and prescribe how our software can solve client needs
  • Develop basic diagrams to explain a software workflow and/or process
